September – December 2009:


In the frame of the project MovieMed, Fondation Liban Cinéma conducted a survey on the audiovisual industry in Lebanon. The survey covered key figures of the production in 2008, and organisms of the sector as well as Lebanon’s major advantages as a filming destination. The results of the survey were published by the Chamber of Commerce of Marseille and distributed at the Marseille meetings held on the 18 & 19 of January 2010.  

June 2005:

 

Preparation and submission of a preliminary proposal for a project of “Research, restoration and archiving of part of the cinematographic heritage in countries of MEDA region” within the restrained call for proposals of the European Union program “Euromed Audiovisual II”.

 

January 2005:

Preparation of files related to the creation of the investment fund’s financial structure, and to the data base and website of the Fondation.

Continuous negotiations with three investment banks in Lebanon, for the creation of an investment fund to support production and promotion of films.

 

June – July 2004:

Second study conducted by expert Marc Bonduel within the framework of an ELCIM mission. This study was intended for the creation of a financial structure for the management of the investment fund dedicated to the development of cinema industry in Lebanon.

 

November 2003 – March 2004:

At the request of the Fondation Liban Cinema, European expert Marc Bonduel conducts a first evaluation study of the technical and human resources of the cinema industry in Lebanon. This study was performed in the framework of an ELCIM mission (EuroLebaneseCenter for Industrial Modernization), under the auspices of the Delegation of the European Commission in Lebanon.
